On Imagination and Invention

“Imagination and invention go hand in hand. Remember how lack of resources was never a problem in childhood games? Shift a few pieces of furniture around the living room, and you have yourself a fort.” -Alexandra Adornetto

Speaking of inventions, here’s a fascinating creation by Nigel Ackland, that some of you may already be using.

Take some time today to step back and let your imagination run free. You never know how you may change the world by stepping away from the business and taking time for something creative.

Here are three ways to sit back and allow yourself to dream, create and ponder deep questions:

1) Block out 40 minutes in your schedule and use that time to doodle, brainstorm, mind map, draw, or whatever you need to do to consider the question at hand.

2) Sharpen your mind, and take part in right-brained activities.  (The link  provided connects to a video with a few tips.)

3) Meditate.

Feel free to share other ways you have cultivated your imagination below.
