Improvement

PART I : Company Shoutout

Before we begin today’s post, we’d like to give a shout out to an exceptional company that is really doing a great job to meet the needs of their clients and has an attitude of continual improvement and innovation. From time to time, we’ll be mentioning great companies.  If you have any companies to share,  feel free to e-mail us at info@allisonjweaver.consulting

The company for this round is called  Ambit Energy.

What do they do?

Their mission:   “To be the finest and most-respected retail energy provider in America.”

Their  description of their services, as stated on their website:

Ambit Energy provides electricity and natural gas services in deregulated markets across the United States, primarily marketed through a direct sales channel of more than 400,000 Independent Consultants. Ambit was established in 2006 by Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Jere Thompson, Jr. and Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer Chris Chambless with one simple goal: to be the finest and most-respected retail energy provider in America. To that end, the Ambit team has built an award-winning Customer Care center, as well as great relationships with energy partners, Consultants and Customers alike. The strategy is working. Ambit was named the fastest-growing private company in the country for 2010 by Inc. Magazine, and has already surpassed milestones of one million Customers and $1 billion in annual sales.

At Ambit, we’re putting all our energy into providing the best possible energy value for our Customers, whether it is electricity or natural gas. But because we also want to provide that value for as many Customers as possible, we’re always growing into new markets. Ambit Energy currently provides competitively-priced electricity and natural gas, and top-notch service, to customers in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia and Washington D.C.

Why should we care?

They are dedicated to their customers and to the environment, in a way that few fortune 500 companies can boast. For example, they not only provide ways for their customers to save money, but they also take a personal approach that is full of integrity.  They also work diligently to listen to customer feedback and constantly improve their product.  Here’s their interactive website: http://www.theambitstory.com .
